After reporter calls Billie Eilish an ’emo teen’, the singer gives a perfect response

Billie Eilish has won an Oscar† With the victory of the 20-year-old artist for No time to die, she is the youngest artist to win a Grammy, Golden Globe and Academy Award for the same song in what has been called the ‘triple crown’ of film music. When Eilish and brother/song collaborator Finneas O’Connell took home their Oscars on Sunday night, they got a very funny question that she was an “emo teen”, because of course she was.

After the pair took home the award for Best Original Song and won Beyoncé and Lin-Manuel Miranda, they visited the Oscar media room to answer questions about the win. A reporter asked a question calling Billie Eilish “an emo, sad-looking teenager” when she first came out, before saying it’s “so nice” to see her “laughing and having fun” these days. When Eilish asked her about this change, Eilish responded as follows:

I mean, I went from 14 to 20. So that’ll be enough, you know?
