Bouncer arrested in deadly weekend stabbing of 23-year-old US Marine near Faneuil Hall – Boston 25 News

BOSTON — Boston Police have announced an arrest in a fatal stabbing over the weekend, saying the victim was an active-duty United States Marine.

The stabbing happened Saturday night at 33 Union Street, not far from Faneuil Hall.

The victim was identified by police on Monday as Daniel Martinez, 23, of Illinois.

Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden says Martinez was a United States Marine on active duty.

The suspect has been identified as Alvaro Omar Larrama, 39, of East Boston. Larrama is due to appear in court on Monday afternoon on a murder charge.

The DA says Larrama worked as a bouncer at Sons of Boston, 19 Union Street.

Police say Larrama surrendered to Boston Police on District A15 and was taken into custody without incident.
