A couple walking along a trail on the west side of Otay Lakes discovered a body, possibly a man, on Friday that may have been shot.
The couple saw the remains around 10 a.m. at the entrance to the old Olympic Training Center and called the Chula Vista police, OnScene.TV said.
Authorities declined to answer questions about the case while the investigation continued.
A BMW believed to be the victim’s was found on nearby Wueste Road.
