DENVER FORECAST: Snow Update: Here’s How It Will Affect Your Day

DENVER (KDVR) — A system once expected to be large will now be small, bringing light snow accumulation to Colorado Monday.

The storm system has gotten weaker every day.

The Pinpoint Weather Team said the system will only brush Denver with scattered snow showers between 9am – 12 noon. Denver will have a total accumulation of an inch or less.

The Foothills and Palmer Divide will see higher totals of 1-3 inches Monday between 7 a.m. and noon.

  • Evergreen: 7am-5pm: 1-3 inches
  • Denver: 9am – 12pm: 1 inch or less
  • Castle Rock: 8am – 2pm: 1-3 inches
  • Estes Park: 06:00-12:00: 1-3 inches

Ski areas can expect 2-8 inches on Tuesday.

A second small cold front will cross the state Tuesday afternoon and another 1-2 inches of snow is expected in the mountains in the afternoon. There will be less than 1 inch of accumulation for the Front Range.

You will also notice a gust of wind over the Front Range Monday through Wednesday afternoon. Every afternoon there are wind gusts of 15-40 mph.

It is drier from Wednesday to Sunday. Temperatures rise into the 70s on weekends.
