JUPITER, FL — On Saturday, April 2, 2022, at approximately 7:15 PM, the Palm Beach County Sheriff responded to the shooting of a dog in Kennedy Estates Park, located on the 6800 block of Booker T. Blvd in Jupiter. Upon arrival, officers found a male, chocolate lab mix, about a year old, weighing 45 pounds, named Boots, who suffered a gunshot wound to the muzzle.

Officers heard that a four-door Honda Accord (sports model) vehicle occupied by an unknown white man, an unknown white woman and a black man entered the park. A black man got out of the vehicle with a black gun in hand, approached the stray dog ​​and fired a bullet into the dog’s muzzle. After shooting the dog, the suspect entered the Honda Accord and fled towards Indiantown Road.
