SANTA ROSA, CA (March 21, 2022) – On Tuesday, a Rincon Valley school bus driver was injured after a collision on Mark West Springs Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at approximately 3:39 p.m. at the intersection of Lavell and Mark West Springs roads.

At about 3:39 p.m., at least nine students were on the bus headed for a basketball game, heading east on Mark West Springs Road.

The driver of the truck was “painful” but did not require hospital treatment.

Meanwhile, the female bus driver suffered minor injuries, so paramedics sent her to a local hospital for a medical assessment.

Police have not yet released the identities of the drivers.

The bus and pick-up also sustained minor damage.

An active investigation into the crash is currently underway.
