Fire at Outwoods near Loughborough: Updates as crews called for ‘several’ reported fires

Bestinau got that-

Firefighters have been called to flames at a nature reserve near Loughborough. Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service has apparently received “multiple calls” about at least two fires.

A witness said on Twitter that it appeared as if two separate fires had been lit. The onlooker feared that the flames were deliberately lit, although there was no official confirmation of this.

A Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman stressed that the call was recent, as of 8.15pm, and there was not much information at this stage. She said, “We are here.

“We believe there are multiple fires in that location. We are trying to get our closest vehicles to the fires.”

Crews had received reports from the Woodhouse Lane area, the fire control spokeswoman added.
