Gary Neville has given the Glazer family a long to-do list at Manchester United after fervently asking them to sell the club.
The time of the Glazers in charge at Old Trafford has proved hugely unpopular with supporters, with a number of protests taking place during their tenure. The relationship between the owners and fans hit rock bottom last year when they became heavily involved in the failed European Super League formation.
The Glazers are also largely blamed for United’s lack of success since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement as manager. The Reds have failed to win the league since the Scot’s departure in 2013 and have fallen further from the fray as Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea have caught up with them.

On his YouTube channel The Overlap, Neville made a passionate plea for the American family to sell the club as soon as possible. Realizing they might not, the former United captain gave them a long list of jobs to prove their worth at United.
“As for the Glazer family, after the Super League they said they were going to communicate with the club, they said they were going to change things. They haven’t changed anything at this football club,” Neville said during a live fan debate with Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher .
“My opinion is that there is a problem at the top, there is a huge problem. I think they have had 10 years to prove that they can be good football operators at Manchester United, alongside Alex Ferguson and David Gill. They’ve proved they can’t, they’ve proven they can’t build a successful football club here in Manchester without being supported by the team Sir Alex Ferguson had and he was there himself.
“For me, the first thing that has to happen right now is for them to sell the club. Because of the Super League, because of their 10 years of failure without Sir Alex Ferguson, and the team and the squad he had, I think they should to go.
“But if they really want to stay, because you can never force the Glazer family to sell, then they have to do four or five things.
“They have to stop taking the dividends out of the club if they want to reset the culture, because if the owners take money out of the club at the expense of the fans, at the expense of the project, at the expense of a successful team, the is bad news from the top.
“Number two, they have to pay that debt, and they can do that by selling £500m worth of shares to the fans, not by taking it out of the club and paying that debt. They could then rebuild that stadium at £1bn, and it would probably have to be torn down to be fair. It doesn’t need renovation, it needs a new stadium.
“That money could be financed from a 20 year contract by bringing in a sponsor for £60-70million a year, call it ‘Something’ Old Trafford but we have a brand new stadium and once again it resets the culture of Manchester United with the best stadium in the world, that has to happen.
“They then have to build a new training ground. Me and Roy were part of the crew when we moved 22 years ago. We now have a training ground behind Tottenham and the other training grounds.
“They need to invest £100-150m a year in a real sports project, along with those four things, and then you can say the Glazer family reset the culture from above. They need to do something that changes the culture and the principles of the football club reset. They haven’t done that in 10 years, they have to do it now because the fans are on the brink again.”
