Greater Manchester: Woman in her 30s taken to hospital

A WOMAN has been taken to hospital in a critical condition, following a crash in Greater Manchester this morning.

Police received a report at around 12.50am on Sunday 1 May of a crash involving a grey coloured Volkswagen Polo, and a pedestrian on Higher Cambridge Street, near the junction with Boundary Street West.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 30s, was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

PC Phil Drummond, of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “As our investigation progresses, our thoughts remain with the woman and her loved ones.

“Though the driver of the vehicle is assisting us with our enquiries, we are appealing to anyone with information or dash cam footage to share it with us.”
