The Tempo by Hilton Times Square, a 661-room hotel that will be the first of Hilton’s newest brand, is expected to open in 2023, Hilton announced Monday.
Located in TSX Broadway—New York City’s new 46-story entertainment and hospitality hub—the move will strengthen Hilton’s presence in the city and offer further signs of a strong return to business travel.
Hilton first announced plans for Tempo, a lifestyle brand that it said at the time would be geared toward “modern achievers,” in 2020.
Hilton has 18 additional Tempo properties in its pipeline. Key business travel markets include Boston, Charlotte, Dallas, Indianapolis, Nashville a second New York City location, San Diego and Seattle.
Owned by L&L Holding Company and Fortress Investment Group, Tempo is managed by Hilton and is one of the company’s lifestyle brands expecting new openings.
