Manchester United want to sign Everton striker Richarlison this summer

According to a report from Goal today, Manchester United are now looking to sign Everton striker Richarlison in the summer transfer window.

Goal reports that Richarlison has emerged as a target for United as they try to bolster their attacking options ahead of the 22/23 season. There is uncertainty among some of their current attacking players. Cristiano Ronaldo could still leave, as could Edinson Cavani. Marcus Rashford would be unhappy while Anthony Martial is already on loan in Spain.

Richarlison could therefore be an interesting option for the Red Devils. Goal claims that both Real Madrid and Barcelona are also keeping an eye on Richarlison. However, the Everton man has only scored four Premier League goals this season.

Interestingly, an earlier report covered by TBR cited Arsenal’s interest in the Everton ace as well.

Why isn’t the MLS competing with Europe’s biggest leagues yet?

Once labeled ‘fantastic’ by former Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti, there is certainly a top player in it when it comes to Richarlison. However, his goalscoring record will worry Man United fans who want a proven goalscorer.

TBR’s Opinion: Richarlison a salable asset to Everton

While Everton paid around £35million for Richarlison in the first place, you would have to say he is one of the players who could sell the club to ease financial pressures and allow Frank Lampard money for his own players .

Yes, the Brazilian is probably Everton’s best player of his time. But are they really getting that much out of him that they wouldn’t at least consider a sale? Probably not.

If Everton can get around £50million for Richarlison you’d say that’s a good thing. For Manchester United, they hope that if they bring him in, the goals will flow as they have in previous seasons.
