Oscar Isaac fights a strange creature in New Moon Knight trailer

Marvel is releasing a new commercial for the Oscar Isaac series Moon Knight, showcasing his multiple identities along with an epic battle with creatures.

A new teaser for Moon Knight shows Oscar Isaac’s hero fighting a mysterious creature. Moon Knight, which premieres on Disney+ on March 30, 2022, is the first live-action MCU series to come to the streaming service that introduces a new Marvel hero rather than focusing on a character already featured in the movies. Created by Jeremy Slater, the series will feature four episodes directed by Mohamed Diab, along with two by the directing duo of Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, who were recently tapped to direct episodes of the upcoming installment. Loki season 2.

Moon Knight Oscar Isaac will star as the titular hero, one of the multiple identities of humble British shop assistant Steven Grant. Grant’s life will begin to crumble around him as he learns of the existence of his alter ego, mercenary Marc Spector, and channel the powers of the Egyptian god Khonshu. The series also stars Lucy Thackeray as Steven’s co-worker Donna, May Calamawy as former Spector associate Layla El-Faouly, F. Murray Abraham as the voice of Khonshu, Ethan Hawke as cult leader Arthur Harrow, and the late Gaspard Ulliel as Midnight Man.

Marvel dropped a brand new ad spot today for Moon Knight titled “Choice”. The 30-second spot shows lots of new footage, including a fight between Moon Knight and an unidentified creature as they leap through the air. It also shows a deeper look at Oscar Isaac’s various characters interacting with each other, while his Steven Grant alter struggles with the other identities that may or may not live within him. The monster in the teaser somewhat resembles the Deviants from another Phase 4 MCU project, Eternals, which hit theaters last fall. It seems clear from the creature’s slightly different design that it is in fact not a Deviant, but what is currently unknown is its function in the story. Whether this battle is just one of many adventures in the show’s six-episode run, or whether these creatures will multiply and be a big part of the villain’s ultimate plan, remains to be seen.

Moon Knight slowly revealing more and more of its story beats leading up to its release in just over a week. Unfortunately, the close proximity to the premiere means these will likely be the last of the new images to be shared before the big day. However, the wait is almost over for this next chapter in Phase 4, showing the audience what to expect from the MCU in 2022.
