Prince William criticized for ‘overshadowing’ Prince Philip at the monument

Prince William has come under fire for trying to steal the spotlight from the late Prince Philip at his own memorial service with his ‘stimulating’ actions.

Journalist Carole Malone expressed this criticism in her interview with Express UK.

There she branded Prince William’s letter to the Bahamas and Jamaica as irritable.

She considered it a “great risk to publicly reject the mantra ‘never complain, never explain”, as the monarchy has traditionally remained neutral on many matters.

Hence, in Ms. Malone’s eyes, “William created an argument that never needed to happen.”

Have we forgotten that tomorrow is Prince Philip’s memorial? It could well be the Queen’s last public outing,” she continued.

“He is now overshadowing what may well be her last public appearance with this feud that never should have happened.”

“He didn’t have to say anything, he could have just kept his mouth shut, he could have just thought about his grandmother instead of going ahead and responding to criticisms of him. Get used to it, because it will happen to you for the rest of your life.”
