‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Season 14 Trailer: Apollo Nida Returns

  • “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” returns to Bravo on May 1 for its 14th season.
  • New faces, including Olympian Sanya Richards-Ross, will join the fun this season.

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” has released the trailer for Season 14, featuring two new peach owners and some old friends.

Marlo Hampton, an old friend from the show, comes on board as a full-fledged cast member. She’s joined by Olympic medalist Sanya Richards-Ross, who fits right in by loudly asking the castmates “some respect for my name” in a scene from the trailer.

Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Drew Sidora and returning original cast member Shereé Whitfield are back to champagne-popping, country-hopping, husband-sniffing, shadow-throwing and slut-shaming as full-time housewives. Monyetta Shaw, a friend of Burruss, has a recurring role as a friend of the show this season.

Perhaps most surprisingly, “house husband” Apollo Nida, who was married to former housewife Phaedra Parks from 2009 to 2017, seems to be popping up this season. In the trailer, Nida appears to be offering advice on keeping someone who has been in Whitfield before.

Whitfield began her newfound relationship with then-imprisoned Tyrone Gilliams on the show in Season 10, which aired from 2017 to 2018. He was incarcerated. Gilliams was released from prison in February 2021.

Nida, who now works in real estate with fellow former “RHOA” husband Peter Thomas, was sentenced to eight years in prison in 2014 for fraud and identity theft, eventually serving five years in prison before being released in 2019.

In other scenes from the trailer, Moore appears to be arguing with Hampton, Hampton insults Burruss, Sidora interrogates her husband, and the cast goes on their annual trip.

“Keep your focus and stay tuned,” Burruss advises viewers in a confessional seen in the trailer.
