According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Inge Baumbach was discovered after officers responded to the 30,000 block of Pacific Coast Highway at 7:15 a.m.

An employee who works in the area reported seeing an unresponsive man surrounded by blood. Baumbach was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said he suffered blunt force trauma to his upper body, but his exact cause of death is still under investigation.
