Spotify Upgrades Blend music matching to work with as many as 10 people

Bestinau got that-

Get ready to find a musical soulmate – or nemesis

Spotify Blend is all about sharing music with friends as you can invite someone to share a playlist that will automatically be filled with songs you both like. It even adds a rating to see how well your tastes match and updates the mixed playlist daily. Since the introduction of Blend last summer, the music platform has left it largely untouched until now. Spotify is expanding its capabilities, allowing you to bring in more friends and discover even more music.

The music streamer announced the big update on Wednesday and did it in a star-studded fashion. Spotify says Blend now lets you create playlists with up to ten people in total, but you don’t have to rely on your friends having great music taste to use it. With some big names including BTS, Charli XCX, Kacey Musgraves and Megan Thee Stallion, you can put your favorite picks together into a Blend playlist. You can finally tell people that your best musical friends are the BTS crew – and mean it. Similar choices will still give you a high taste score, too.

The updated version of Blend is already rolling out, so it will soon be much easier to find out who shares your music taste. To create a group, go to the app and search for Blend in the Search tab and invite your closest family and friends. And with direct links to those celebrities on Spotify’s blog, you can finally find out if Charli XCX secretly shares your love for ’70s soft rock and old-fashioned country music.
