Well everyone, the results for the 20th Annual Golden Schmoes are in! As expected, Spider-Man: No Way Home completely cleaned up. It won seven of the major awards, including ‘Favorite Movie’, ‘Coolest Character’ (for Andrew Garfield’s Spidey) and ‘Most Memorable Scene of the Year’. given how No way home has become one of the highest-grossing movies of all time (pandemic or no pandemic), this shouldn’t come as a shock. People absolutely love this movie. That said, it didn’t break records for the most Golden Schmoes wins of all time, with The Dark Knight still hold that record with a dozen wins.

Some of the biggest surprises are the amazing Nicolas Cage who takes home the best actor for Pig† Despite earning some of the best reviews of his career, this hugely underrated movie was completely banned from the Oscars, so it was cool to see our readers reward it. Given the ratings Cage gets for the Unbearable weight of enormous talentmaybe he will win next year too? Was cool to see too Nobody winning for both “Biggest Surprise” and “Most Underrated” because it happened to open at the height of the pandemic, when most theaters were closed, and never quite got a chance to get as big as it could have been if only a few months later.
