Three ‘seriously injured’ after St Austell crash during early hours

Three people have sustained serious injuries following a crash which took place during the early hours (May 1). At around 1.30am officers from Devon and Cornwall Police were called to the scene at Ruddlemoor near St Austell.

St Austell Community Fire Station says that Bodmin Road is closed in both directions and is expected to remain closed for a “significant” amount of time. Speaking to CornwallLive, a spokesperson for the police said: “Police are at the scene of a serious collision at Ruddlemoor in St Austell, which happened in the early hours of Sunday 1 May.

“Officers were informed of the collision just after 1.30am which involved one vehicle. Three people are seriously injured.

“The road has currently been closed in both directions and officers are advising the public to avoid the area. Anyone with information is asked to contact police quoting log number 0096 010522.”

Roads traffic and monitoring service, Inrix reports: “B3274 in both directions closed due to serious accident from Drummers Hill to A391 (Single Rose Roundabout).”
