Bestinau got that-

Two men were injured after being hit by a car early Saturday morning following an alleged confrontation in the Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie neighborhood.

The victims, both men in their 30s, were beaten near Clark and Beaubien streets around 4:05 am and taken to hospital, police say.

A man, 36, is in critical but stable condition, according to the Montreal Police Department (SPVM). The other victim, 38, was also injured, but has since been released from care.

Montreal police say the driver, a 34-year-old man, was detained and appeared before a judge via video conference before 9:15 p.m.

He has yet to be charged, although police say he is charged with armed or aggravated assault.

“The car is considered a weapon,” Manuel Couture, Manuel Couture police spokesman, told CTV.

The three men would have known each other. Police do not yet suspect a motive.
