UPDATE: A multi-agency search for a vehicle in the Ochlocknee River was called off after sunset Saturday night, according to the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies will secure the site overnight and the search for the driver will resume at 8am. The agency is still classifying this as a possible rescue or recovery mission.

It’s not clear if search teams found the vehicle that allegedly went into the water from a nearby boat ramp. Assist diving teams from the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, FWC, FHP and others.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – According to a spokesman for the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office, police are investigating an incident along Old Bainbridge Road near the Leon-Gadsden County Line.

A vehicle reportedly left the roadway and plunged into the Ochlocknee River below.

GCSO said this is an evolving situation and details of what happened and possible injuries are not yet known.

A separate vehicle accident at the same location closed the lane on Thursday afternoon.
