‘We want him out’: Controversy arises after video of Norco preschoolers singing to Biden

A lesson on President’s Day became controversial when a Norco parent saw a video of her daughter among students chanting “we want him out” after her teacher asked the class who the president is and “what do we want to do with him?”

Video of the 4- and 5-year-olds chanting the political statement about Joe Biden was posted on an internal app for parents of Turning Point Christian School students, and that’s how Christina McFadden saw it.

She said she watched the video several times with horror.

“The teacher indoctrinates her students”, McFadden told KTLA. “Everyone has the right to believe in what they want and my daughter didn’t get that chance. And especially at that age, I don’t even think she can comprehend that she has to make an informed decision about who and what to believe in.”

McFadden immediately contacted the school. Officials took down the video, apologized and informed parents that it did not share the school’s “philosophy of honoring and respecting authority, including those in government positions.”

McFadden was told that the teacher had been spoken to, the video was being reviewed and that the officials were “okay”.

Although her daughter thought it was funny, McFadden said she still doesn’t know what the class was about, even though she asked.

McFadden’s daughter has since changed schools. She hopes this incident is a lesson to parents.

“Right now it’s not about the school, it’s about informing students that this is happening,” she said.

A school administrator told KTLA on Monday that officials would not release a statement and would not comment.
